5 Great April Beer Festivals in New York State

Even though we had a mild winter -- with some days feeling more like spring -- spring is now actually here! It’s getting warmer outside, flowers are blooming and the days are lasting longer, so it’s time to get out and do something fun! And what’s better than a beer fest? Here's a handful of fun beer festivals in New York state that would make great day trips.

  1. Spring Craft Beer Festival – “Spring’s best beer fest”

When: Saturday, April 2nd

Where: Belmont Racetrack

Time: Session 1: 12:30pm-4pm; Session 2: 5:30pm-9pm

Price: $45+ tax/fee before event, $55 on day of event

Designated Drivers tickets $12+ tax/fee

This beer fest is normally held at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, but with the construction, will now be held at the Belmont racetrack. The spring craft beer festival will have over 50 craft brewers with over 100 beers from around the country.

When: Wednesday, April 6th

Where: Marshall Stack; 66 Rivington St; New York, NY 10002

Time: 4:00pm-2:00am

  1. BeerProv

When: Thursday, April 7th

Where: Highline Ballroom

Time: 6:00pm-10:30pm

Price: $15-$20 Reservations Required

This is not just a beer festival, but also an improv show which is an unscripted comedy show. Here you and the performers will be drinking throughout the show.

  1. Barrier/Other Half Tap Takeover

When: Wednesday, April 13th

Where: Marshall Stack; 66 Rivington St; New York, NY 10002

Time: 4:00pm-2:00am

  1. Bacon and Beer Classic

When: Friday-Saturday, April 22-23rd

Where: Citi Field

Time: Friday: 8pm-11pm, Saturday Afternoon: 1pm-4pm, Saturday Evening: 7pm-10pm

VIP admission: 1 hour early

Price: $69-$129 Reservations Required

Here you get Bacon and Beer, hence the name! There will be 50+ bacon infused dishes and 100+ craft beer and ciders. On top of bacon and beer there will be games and contests like a bacon eating contest!
