6 Rules For Finding The Perfect Wedding Transportation

We've been providing wedding transportation at Gardellas Elite Limousine for the last 30 years. During that time, we have learned a thing or two about planning the perfect transportation for your perfect day. Some brides and grooms know exactly what they want as soon as they walk through the doors and others need a little more guidance. Some of that guidance is what we will be providing you today.

Rule #1. Start the limo search early.

Wedding season is short, and while it may look like there are plenty of available options, you will quickly see there are always more brides.

The earlier you start looking for your perfect transportation, the more options will be available to you.

Rule #2. Know your transportation responsibilities.

Transporting the wedding party is your responsibility, and it's not a bad idea to arrange transportation for parents of both bride and groom, as well. Things to consider: Do you want to ride to the church with your bridesmaids, or would you prefer a quieter trip with a close family member? Would you like to leave the ceremony alone together as husband and wife, or would you rather merge bridesmaids and groomsmen and start the party before you get to the reception? These choices will affect the size and number of vehicles needed. Answering these questions before you sit with us will ensure we have all the available vehicles to handle your wedding transportation.

Rule #3. Take the size you think you need and go a little bit larger.

At no point will you want to be uncomfortable. The more people you are traveling with, the more "stuff" will be traveling with you. We have never heard a bride say she wished she went with a smaller bus or coach. We have heard plenty of times that they wish they took our advice on having a little more room.

There's no such things as a stupid question. Ask about the driver's uniforms and whether you can have champagne or favorite cocktail in your wedding limousine during your travels. If you anticipate that late night stop at Wendy's after the reception, please ask about it. We want all our brides and grooms to be comfortable and happy.

Rule #5. See it with your own eyes.

Please come get a look at the car you'll be riding in (or at least a very similar one). Avoid any unwelcome surprises by checking out the vehicles you will be using. Another great way to see the quality of our fleet is to visit many of the bridal shows in Connecticut and New York where we display cars and coaches regularly.

Rule #6. Get everything you ask for in writing.

Read each contract point carefully. Before you sign, verify the date; hours; pickup locations; driver's name and attire; make, model and color of the car; and cancellation and refund policies are all included and completely accurate. The limousine contract will give you extra peace of mind!

Following these six simple rules will ensure you rent the right wedding transportation for your perfect day.
